Good afternoon, This past weekend I was supposed to attend a Steamroller Deathclock tournament at The Game Vault here in Fredericksburg, VA. Unfortunately thought we ended up short on players for a tournament which is odd in the area. On the plus side though since we all came out to play and we had some players we all beat the snot out of each other a couple times and had some fun. I also got some pictures of some cool armies while I was there.

Hey everyone. This is my second entry into the whole Warcaster adventure I'm trying to go on. Today I want to talk about Karchev the Terrible. Karchev holds a special place to me as he was the first non battlebox Warcaster I purchased. My first Warcaster was Kommander Sorscha who came with the two player battlebox I split with my friend. After I learned the basics, and having come from a "Mecha" background I was looking at my choices and I saw all these small but powerful people and then there was a Warcaster who was a giant Coal Burning, Smoke Belching, Steam Powered Goliath who strode among Warjacks like they were humans. This was the guy I was going with. It was a interesting learning choice, but I digress....... So, one of the things I want to do in the second half of the year is to get a feel for all of the Khadoran Warcasters and also see what I have already that works well with them. The first Warcaster in this experiment is Kommander Harkevich The Iron Wolf. Looking at him he has a spell list that seems to be half melee oriented and half shooting oriented and most players wont be able to wrap their heads around how to most effectively use this bearded goggled Warcaster. Hi again. I just wanted to let you know what is going on here at the studio. First of all we will be moving to a new location by the end of the month and have been working to get everything moved and ready so we have as little of an interruption in business as possible. That being said, we have finished a portion of the Trolls which have been sold as well as getting some progress done on the core of the Winterguard Infantry Deathstar for the Unbreakable 111th army. Additionally we have also finally gotten a set of 2 walls from Modest Magic which we will be reviewing soon. To see the pictures of whats done as well as see how we customized the Winter Guard Infantryman to give them an unique feel go ahead and hit the read more link below. Hey everyone, this is just a quick update on the Outcasts crew that came in a week ago as well as the Trolls we've been working on for a while. The crew is finished up and ready to go out tomorrow to their owner. Now that that is done we are looking at rolling forward on the Trolls a bit more aggressively to get them done before the months end and ready for sale. There are pics of the finished crew as well as an update wip pic of the Dire Troll Bomber after the read more link. Thanks and See ya Later CJ Hey world. I just wanted to update y'all on what we have been up to. We have gotten Janissa and the Fenblades finished up. Meanwhile we have also gotten our first run of resin scenic bases started. These bases are a shale / broken ground style of base. We are currently only selling them on ebay. We do hope to actually be able to get some real packaging put together soon and move these from just an online item to a full line of in store retail bases. Our goal is to provide products to gamers that are affordable and good quality. We hope that this is the first step in that direction. For some pics click on the read more link. Till next time CJ In the past couple days things have been progressing well. We have gotten one of the Trollbloods completely finished, Janissa is on her custom base and just needs some finishing touches, Mulg is done, the Earthborn Dire Troll is almost there, the Dire Troll Bomber is coming along, and a unit of Fenblades painted by the army's previous owner is waiting for touch-up We also have a set of Slate Wasteland bases under a layer of RTV and should give us some great bases for our customers. Click on the Read more link to see some WiP pics and a Pic of Mulg. Till next time -CJ So, we have had some progress on the Trollblood Army. So far the three trolls with the most work on them are the Dire Troll Mauler, Dire Troll Bomber and Earthborn Dire Troll. We also have a custom base for Janissa that is pretty much done. Now We just need to get Janissa there too. Overall I would have to say that since beginning this project I have noticed what some of the local Troll players complain about with the plastic trolls vs the older metal ones. Hey everyone, so we just recently got some Trollbloods here in the studio. These aren't a commission but instead will be a studio job and we will eventually be reselling them online as an Army on Ebay like our highly successful Tyranid army. The group we have is actually a pretty large lot. With 3 units, a few key solos, some heavy and light warbeasts and 3 warcasters we are looking forward to painting these models. |
